Frequently Asked Questions

What is DHA?

DHA is a colorless chemical that interacts with the amino acids in dead skin cells to produce a brown color change. The most effective sunless tanning products contact DHA.

What should I wear?

You can wear undergarments, a bathing suit, or nothing. Your chosen attire should be whatever you are completely comfortable with. Wearing bathing suits or undergarments during application may cause permanent staining of the material. Bring dark loose clothing for after your tan.

Will my skin look orange?

Definitely not. We can safely say, we would not be airbrush tanning if we knew it would turn our clients orange. You will leave with a solution customized for your skin tone.

Can I tan if I'm pregnant?

The concern some doctors have is over whether or not the active ingredient (DHA) is able to enter the blood stream; the indications are that it cannot. DHA only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. However, we recommend all clients get permission from their physician first.

What can I expect during my visit?

You will enter into a private room where you will fill out paperwork and be prepped on what to expect during your airbrush tan. Once ready, you will step into the booth and be sprayed from top to bottom. After application you will be set with a drying powder that will leave you feeling non-sticky and your clothes can be applied immediately. Your session will take 20 minutes.

What is the main tip to remember?

After you have showered, avoid moisturizers that contain mineral oil, alcohol, fragrances, dyes, and anything you cannot pronounce.

For long lasting results, a tan extender is recommended.
